Applicants with the following items are not allowed in the US embassy/consulate:
Large bags/wallets or zippered folders larger than an A-4 page. You are allowed to bring only one plastic bag or folder with visa documents, or a small wallet or bag. Immigrant visa applicants may bring documents and a sealed envelope with medical examination results.
Luggage, suitcases, bags, backpacks, and other travel bags are not allowed in the embassy/consulate and cannot be left nearby or on the street. It is recommended to leave your luggage at the hotel or in the left-luggage office at the railway station.
Electronic devices powered by batteries, such as cameras, laptops, recording devices, and portable music players.
Food and drinks.
Sealed envelopes and folders, except for medical examination results.
Cigarettes, cigars, matches, and lighters.
Sharp objects, such as scissors, knives, or nail files.
Any firearms or explosives.
Mobile phones must be left with the security officer at the embassy/consulate.
The list of items prohibited from being brought into the embassy is not limited to those listed. Security officers may prohibit other items at their discretion.
There is no possibility to store prohibited items in the embassy/consulate (except for mobile phones). It is necessary to leave these items elsewhere before visiting the embassy.
Only US citizens applying for ACS services, visa applicants, and ACS applicants with a scheduled interview are allowed in the consular section.
Unfortunately, the Embassy/Consulate building does not have parking, and cars are not allowed to stop or stand on the street in front of the building. Visa applicants and American Citizen Services (ACS) clients arriving at the Embassy/Consulate by car must park on one of the paid parking spaces near the Embassy or be dropped off on the street.
